The Diffusion of Corporate Social Responsibility Within an Organizational Field: an Analysis through the Complementary Lenses of Neo-Institutional Theory and Actor-Network Theory

How does the implication of actors act as a condition success in diffusion corporate social responsibility (CSR) within an organizational field? To answer this question, research looks at microfoundations socially responsible practice. This approach enables us to adopt perspective that is focused on individuals and explain integration CSR practices level. We mobilize neo-institutional theory (NIT) actor-network (ANT) our process innovative First, we identify three distinct stages institutional practice: pre-institutionalization stage, theorization reinstitutionalization stage. Second, reveal four practice identified by ANT: designation actor initiating change, identification allies for deployment innovation, analysis network, conditions diffusion. Finally, produce six propositions based results study, which advocate multileveled understand how are developed organizations.
